Customer Pattern Review THE SPRING DRESS by Lily Bird

I Love getting Pattern Reviews from my Sewing friends. This is a pattern review from Melissa along with Beautiful Pictures of her latest project, The Spring Dress. This is an E-Pattern and the designer is Lily Bird. Melissa purchased her pattern from Fairytale Frocks and Lollipops.
Here you go:

Hi Terry,
I finally finished the epattern you sent me.  TheSpring Dress by Lily Bird.  I think it sewed up adorable, it was an easy to follow pattern, however, I did have to make quite a few adjustments to it.  The bodice and the waist measurements didn't seem to line up, easy fix though.  And the biggie...shirring across the back.  While I usually love a good challenge, I gave up on shirring a long time ago!  It just causes too much stress!!  I used what I think is a great alternative to shirring and it turned out well.   I also tied the straps across the neck instead of using buttons, mostly because it was easier for me.
Anyway, thanks for the pattern, Alayna loves her new dress.

Thank you so much Melissa! Beautiful dress & Beautiful girl!!

I cannot tell you how excited I was to find this amazing website...just packed with fabulous sewing tips!!! Everything from how to attach rivets on sewing projects to how to sew buttons on by machine. I have been sewing for years and I found this site incredibly informative and I learned so much while reading through these amazing tutorials. I Finally Had Time To Do Some Sewing!

Two years ago when I left my corporate job and decided to start "Fairytale Frocks & Lollipops" I never imagined I would be busier than I am these days. My dreams of having a fun on-line sewing shop have become an amazing reality but to be honest...I really don't have very much time to sew and be creative these days. However, I finally found some time the other day to test one of our newest designers patterns to create an adorable outfit for my Granddaughter, Lauren. This sweet little peasant top and ruffle pants was created using patterns from Juvie Moon.
